Hi there! I’m Caroline Towers, creator and founder of Conversations with Caroline. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to check out my blog.
I live in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England with my boyfriend Keil.
I graduated from Bradford University in 2012 with a degree in Creative Writing and English Literature. I have always loved to write and after I left university I started my own business as an Arbonne health and wellness consultant. I love having my own business but I missed writing. So, I decided to start a blog!
Conversations with Caroline has developed from a lifestyle blog to a resource for bloggers. I share blogging tips regularly and in 2016 launched my online course, Trigger Your Blog. You will still find a few lifestyle and travel posts dotted around but my main focus is helping you grow your blog.
I would describe myself as a lifestyle blogger and multi-passionate entrepreneur. I continue to grow my Arbonne business and I am also the co-founder (alongside Keil) of Voltage Sport where recently we launched our own clothing line.
I love to write and create – I spend plenty of time with my head in the clouds, dreaming of my next project.
I’ve had my fair share of the 9-5 – It isn’t for me.
At 14 I started to work in my mum and step-dads business, they own a bike shop. I worked Saturday’s and school holidays and for a while after my A-Levels I was full-time. This gave me a good insight into owning your own business. I still do some work for them today focusing mainly on the online side of things.
I have a diploma in Personal Training, I wanted to do this freelance but I had little confidence at the time so I never really put it to good use. It’s nice I am finally using the skills I learnt over at Voltage Sport. Instead, I worked for a mortgage company and then in various departments in Social Services. Although the jobs I did were, for the most part, interesting, I always felt there was more to life than working in an office. If you work in an office that’s fine I just knew it wasn’t for me. It was at this point I decided to go to University, I thought at least for 3 years of my life I will have done something interesting. I’ve really never looked back since then.
I have so many things which interest me. Here are a few things:
I love to write – I totally love writing. I may not always be the best at it but I love to be creative. I never thought of myself as a creative person because I am not great at art and making things but I have realised there are many different ways to be creative.
I love the movies – Going to the cinema and watching a good film makes me really happy!
I love nice food – I love eating out and trying new food as well as eating at home and cooking. It’s fun and you can have some great conversations over food.
I love going to the gym – I first joined a gym at 16 and I’ve had a constant membership ever since. I may sometimes lapse or be less motivated but overall it is something I really enjoy doing. Over the last year I have had a recurring injury where I haven’t been able to go as much and I really missed it!
I love small business – I am always thinking of new business ideas because I love the concept of business – I don’t act on them all but maybe one day I will! The idea of growing a business from scratch, working for myself and being my own boss is the best thing in the world. I think it is important more people understand the importance of supporting their friends and families businesses and the difference these can make to the world.
I love to travel – Planning a trip, followed by going somewhere else in the world is such an exciting process. It’s fun to explore new places and return to places I love. It’s really something which lights up my soul.
