Exploring a very quiet London

Our final day in London was a Monday and we took some exploring before finding some London happy hours!

I filmed the day as part of my Day in the Life series!

The day began with breakfast and checking out of our fabulous hotel St Ermin’s. You can read more about the hotel in my previous post here.

Then we took to exploring a very quiet London.

England was about to go back into London when we visited and of course, at that time there were very few international visitors. It was a good time to go and not be fighting the crowds but it also felt kind of strange and sad to see so many popular places so quiet.

We walked through St James’ Park to Trafalgar Square. We also visited Covent Garden.

As the afternoon began we needed a break and found a couple of happy hours, one of our favourite things to do! We had wine at Dirty Martini in Covent Garden followed by cocktails at Bodeons BBQ.

Finally we went for pizza before getting the tube and then the train home!

We had a brilliant few days in London and were so grateful our trip wasn’t impacted by the impending lcockdown!
