2014 has been a good year, looking back there have been plenty of adventures, lots of laughs and generally a nice time has been had. Here’s to a great 2015, may it be the best yet!
Here are just few highlights of my 2014.
The gloomy month of January began with a trip to London for the day. I went down on my own and took part in an enjoyable course. it was quite fun travelling alone for a change!
In February I took part in a Mavic training course for Pennine Cycles. I was the only female there – It’s fun being a trailblazer in a male dominated industry!
I also put out my first makeup tutorial on my YouTube channel especially for Valentine’s Day.
As Spring began to appear I headed on a spa break to York and spent the weekend on a movie course at the Bradford Media Museum.
April brought in an unexpected trip to Emmerdale, the clips we filmed were shown on TV in July.
May was certainly a fun month of travelling. First up was a trip to Las Vegas. I love it there and had an amazing time combining business and fun!
No sooner had I come back from Sin City I went on a little UK break with family and did some family tree research too.
In June I went to London as I was invited to Mansion House for a Women in Business event.
There was also a trip to Manchester to watch the Kings of Leon, who were brilliant.
July was all about the Tour de France, in fact most of the year was about it! In the build up I spoke to local businesses about how they could get involved. Then I attended conferences, networking events and fashion shows which all led to the best weekend ever!
To make sure there was no anti-climax after Le Tour I kept with the sporting theme and enjoyed some of the British summer with a trip to York Races and a day at Manchester including Afternoon Tea at Manchester House with stunning views of the city.
August was a very fun month. Firstly there were lots of Birthday celebrations.
Shortly after I headed for a wonderful holiday to Barbados. I wrote a load of blog posts and have been sharing them ever since!
On return from my holiday I went to Arbonne’s UK conference in Liverpool and had a very inspiring weekend.
October was the month of meeting cool people! Firstly I met Paralympian Gold medalist Daniell Brown MBE. This was followed by Fraser Doherty, an inspiring young entrepreneur and finally I met network marketing guru ‘Big Al’.
I also heard a lot of awesome people speak when I attended London’s Screenwriting Festival. During that weekend I also went to watch the NFL at Wembley.
November was a month of music where I went to see 2 of my faves, Counting Crows and The Gaslight Anthem – Both were incredible!
I also met Jamie Redknapp – Another fave!
As well as attending the Women of Achievement Awards with my mum.
December is of course all about Christmas and in the build up I had a jam packed diary which included Arbonne’s Christmas Party, tea with friends, a Mercedes Car Presentation, a trip to Manchester Christmas market and the press launch of the Tour de Yorkshire. These are all documented on my Instagram, along with lots more photos from the year!
This was swiftly followed by Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day fun! They all consisted of lots of nice food and a few drinks.
So that was my whirlwind of 2014 in a page! It was a great year and I can’t wait to see what 2015 has to bring. A new year brings with it new goals and I am ready to go!
