Our second full day in Lancaster was a great day, the sun was shining once again and we spent the morning making breakfast and taking a bath in the copper tub in our Airbnb.

I filmed the day as part of my Day in the Life series, watch it here:
A Day in Lancaster
After a chilled out morning, we set out on a walk to the highly recommended Williamson Park. We walked through some of Lancaster to get there. It is uphill for most of the day, which was a little bit warm given the weather.
It took about 20 minutes and we first arrived at the nature reserve at the edge of the park. Then we took a look around the park including the famous Ashton Memorial. From the park we had our first view of the bay down to Morecambe.
We were recommended to check out the Butterfly House but it was closed due to the current restrictions – A reason to go back.
We walked from the park to Lancaster Brewery. It’s somewhere we had seen online and thought it looked great. They brew their own beer and have a large beer garden which was perfect given the weather. They don’t take bookings but have lots of outdoor seats.
They also had some pop-up food stalls so we had some delicious pizza and tacos.
An evening in Lancaster
After a few hours, it was a nice walk back to our Airbnb for a few hours before getting ready for the evening. We had booked a meal at The Borough and we had some fabulous food.
It was such a lovely evening walk back, past Lancaster Castle and to our castle view cottage. It was a lovely trip for our UK travel weekend.
[…] After a couple of hours of sea air, it was time to head home. It was the final day of our mini UK travel break. You can read about the day before in Lancaster here. […]
