We had a busy day in London we saw some of the sites before bottomless lunch at Quaglino’s, finding happy hour and encountering a protest.
I documented the day as part of my Day in the Life series
A Day in London
Another day in London began with breakfast at St Ermin’s Hotel. It’s a wonderful hotel in a great location only a few minutes from Buckingham Palace. We took a walk to the palace, I’ve never seen it so quite! When we visited it was early November and England was about to go back into a lockdown, we are so grateful we go to take out London trip!
Bottomless Lunch at Quaglino’s
By early afternoon it was time to visit Quaglino’s, we’d taken a while to research various bottomless options and settled for this stylish restaurant. Quaglino’s is just behind Picadilly and we booked into for their Sunday Soul Session. I’m so glad we did, it was such a treat to hear the live jazz band playing!
We had the 3-course Sunday lunch and the foo was exceptional. For the bottomless option you pay an additional fee and they were very generous, we went for fizz but you could also add on wine if you prefer.
After lunch, we found a happy hour at Simmons Bar which was about a 15-minute walk (it was good to get some fresh air). Then we walked back to the hotel and on the way saw a protest in Picadilly Circus.
We had another fabulous cocktail at St Ermin’s before heading back to our room.
