After a hectic week in Las Vegas it was time to have a few days which were more relaxed and there’s not many places as chilled as Orange County!
I’m fortunate to have family who live in the area so myself and Keil stayed for 5 nights. We’ve visited before which meant we could visit some of the favourite places from the past and also discover some new delights. We flew from Vegas to the John Wayne airport which was a really quick flight with some fantastic views!
I vlogged our last day of the trip where we went to the beach to watch some surfers and ended watching the sunset from the San Clemente pier.
We were fortunate to see the sunset a few times on our trip, when you’re so close to the ocean it’s such an amazing thing to see and the sunsets really are great in Southern California.

I loved to spend time at the beach whilst in Orange County, not something I get to do too often. We spent time relaxing and soaking up some sun.
We had a car whilst we were there and one day we went exploring, driving up the coast to Balboa which is a lovely little beach spot at Newport. On the way back we stopped off at Laguna Beach for ice cream, as the weather was hot!
The food in California is beautiful and as I love Mexican food we made sure to have plenty. It’s also well known for sushi and so I had my first real sushi experience, sitting at the bar whilst it’s made fresh in front of you. It was delicious.
We also discovered a new bagel place, Coffee Importers, which quickly became a favourite whilst at Dana Point harbour. We went a few times for both the bagels and chocolate peanut butter smoothie – It was the best! I love to walk around the harbour and see all the boats. On our last trip we went out whale watching which was an amazing experience, this time we didn’t have time to go to sea so instead we hung out taking photos.
We had the best time in the always fabulous OC! After such a great few days it was time to head to Los Angeles for the next part of our trip.
