Help Yourself
I have recently been reading lots of self-development books, mainly these are books which have been recommended to me. I have found that my confidence has increased, my negativity has reduced and the self-talk (what goes on my head) is much more positive and focused on what I want.
To me reading of any kind is so important but I never realised how much reading these self-help and improvement books could be. When I was first recommended to read this style of book I thought it was a load of rubbish – How wrong I was! My only regret is that I didn’t start working on myself sooner. If you haven’t done any or much reading then give it a try.
Wish List
I had a look at my Amazon wish list and thought I would share some of the books I would like to read. I work on reading at least 10 pages of a self-improvement book each day. By reading smaller amounts I have found that the information goes in, rather than trying to read them like a story book, as my mind then wanders! I have included authors which I have already read and some which I haven’t, books which I have bought and not got around to reading yet and ones that I have still to buy. I can’t wait for my development bookshelf to be overflowing. This list might be useful for you if you are looking to read some new books, we could always read them together!
Napoleon Hill – Think and Grow Rich
Anthony Robbins – Awaken the Giant Within
Jim Rohn- My Philosophy for Successful Living
George S. Clason – The Richest Man in Babylon
Thomas J Stanley – The Millionaire Next Door
Brian Tracy – No Excuses and The Power of Self-Discipline
David J Schwartz – The Magic of Thinking Big
Stephen Covey – The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Barbara Stanny – Secrets of Six-Figure Women
Jack Canfield – The Success Principles
I can’t wait to work my way through this list of books and others too. Keep looking out for reviews of these books and some of the others which I have already read or are reading at the moment.
Have you read any of these? Are there any others you would recommend I add to my list?

Caroline,
This is an awesome list of books. You are so right that these books really do help SO MUCH with the way you think and speak to yourself, and therefore make a huge and lasting positive impact on your life. I’m obsessed with self-help books 🙂
With all of my self-help books, can you believe that I have never read a single one of these titles? I’ve heard of most of them, but have not reached them on my list yet. Thanks for the encouragement!
Big hugs
xoxo
