July was a great month full of blogging and working towards my upcoming blog course. There was also some fun days out too with trips to Widnes, London and Manchester. Plus an early celebration of Yorkshire Day at a Bradford Street Party!
The Sport
I had one extra busy weekend full of sport. On the Saturday I went to watch Liverpool Ladies FC play Reading Ladies FC at Widnes. It was the first time I’ve watched women’s football live. The next day myself and Keil went to London for a game of bowling with Melvin Gordon. Melvin plays NFL for the San Diego Chargers. Although I wasn’t great at bowling it was a fun afternoon which we followed with a few drinks in London before going home. You can read about both events on Voltage Sport.
The Pizza
Myself and Keil had a trip out one Friday night to Ecco Pizzeria in Leeds. We really enjoyed the fact we could share 1 big pizza! You can read all about it here.
The Girls Night
The next night I went on a night out in Manchester with my friend who lives there. We had a great time with a special mention to The Botanist who had a fantastic band playing live music!
The Blogging Research
I put a call out on my mailing list and through some blogging Facebook groups I am in to ask people to help me with some research for an upcoming course I am putting together. The response I received far exceeded my expectations so I spent a week chatting to some fantastic people. It was really useful to do the research to help me put together the right course.
Yorkshire Day
Although Yorkshire Day is the 1st August, on Saturday the 30th July North Parade in Bradford held a street party to celebrate. We went for the afternoon and had a great time. North Parade is a street which has lots of independent bars on it, each of them had outside stalls selling different drinks plus there was some delicious food available. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon!
July was certainly a varied month and one which I thoroughly enjoyed! What was your highlight in July? Comment below.
