Yet again another month has flown by! It doesn’t seem two minutes since I was recapping May. This month there were a couple of trips, live music and plenty of sport!
Celebrations
The month began with a bang as I attended an Arbonne car presentation! This was lots of fun and we had a great time celebrating the achievement of a new Regional Vice President. This is one of the fun perks I love about my business – The celebrating!
On the same day I headed over to Harrogate to watch my step-dad Paul and a group of other riders including Gary Verity, CEO of Welcome to Yorkshire, complete Stage 2 of the Tour de France! In fact almost all of June was taken up by cycling – More on that later! We went along to take a few photos and enjoy the sunshine in Harrogate.
The Mansion House!
Early in June myself and my mum were invited to a ladies business event at Mansion House. A few years earlier we had been part of a consultation about women in business and this was the first celebration of the report which was produced. Mansion House was fabulous and it is home to the Lord Mayor. In keeping with the cycling theme I also found a yellow Boris bike!
Zombie Nation
I also spent a weekend away in Manchester on a course, it wasn’t all learning and I did find time to enjoy this zombie cocktail in the Slug and Lettuce!
Guest Blogging
I was privileged to have a guest blog from Keil who shared his 7 weightloss tips. He himself has lost over 5 stones in weight. The tips he shares are real life, long term actions we can all do. His story is an inspiration.
I also did a guest post myself for Harriet Rosie, these were all about my top blogging tips!
Live Music
Unfortunately for the majority of June I was suffering with a chest infection. Luckily I managed to feel just ok enough to see the Kings of Leon. They were amazing and I wrote about it here.
Sport, Sport, Sport
We were invited to watch the Lashings All Star team play cricket at Linton and Collingham Cricket Club. The sun shone and it was a beautiful afternoon of cricket with some great cricket players. Gordon Greenidge joined our table for lunch and I also got a photo with ex-Yorkshire player Hershelle Gibbs!
Like many England football fans I got ready for the World Cup! This was met with disappointment! However despite England’s early exit I have still been watching the tournament.
As I said most of June was about cycling, here in Yorkshire there is lots happening with the Tour de France – It arrives this week! In preparation I have shot some videos for Pennine Cycles, you can take a look at their YouTube channel to see.
On Sunday 29th June I also organised the Nige Moore Memorial Road Race. This was a great day. It was lots of fun to organise and was a huge success. I can’t wait for next year!
July is going to be fun – Full of cycling, cycling, cycling as the Tour de France comes to town!
