A Day in London – The Wolseley

Me and mum had a few nights in London. After a fabulous day in London on the second day where we went to The Ritz and to a West End Show, it was time for our final day in London.

Exploring London

We started the day in London with breakfast at our hotel, the Royal Horseguards which is very centrally located.

It was a damp morning and so we walked to Covent Garden, it was still very quiet in London and it was strange to see some of the usual tourist areas not full of hustle and bustle.

It was about 12 when we stopped at The Ivy in Covent Garden. We sat for a drink outside to watch the world go by!

Once we had finished the sun came out as we carried on walking around. We headed up towards Picadilly and on to Regents Street.

It was time for another stop and we found the Champagne Bar, Cakes and Bubbles outside of Cafe Royal. We sat here in the sunshine for an hour before we had to go for our late lunch booking.

The Wolseley

We had booked into The Wolseley which is next to The Ritz. It’s a restaurant my mum has always wanted to go to. When you walk in the entrance you are straight into the restaurant, it is in the style of a European Cafe.

The food, drink and service in The Wolseley were all fantastic and we had a great couple of hours. The restaurant itself was buzzing.

We then strolled back to the hotel to collect our luggage from the hotel before getting a taxi to the train station.

Our trip to London had come to an end, we had a great few days in the city. I love visiting London, it’s always different and there are so many places to visit – I already can’t wait for my next trip!
