How to Relax
Last year I was asked by Gina at The Everyday Surprises what I do to ‘Live Slow and Love Much’, this is what I shared:
This is one of my favourite ways to relax and it got me thinking what other ways there are to chill out, here are 4 of my suggestions:
Take a Long Bath
I am not a huge bath person, I used to love them when I lived with my mum as she had a jacuzzi style bath. Mine is just a regular bath so it always seems a bit boring! I know lots of people swear by having a bath to help them chill out. The best thing to do is lock the door, put on your favourite songs and just relax. I like to use Arbonne’s Unwind Bath Salts, just smelling them makes me feel instantly relaxed!
Have a Massage
I love a good massage! If you book yourself in for one it is in your diary and you are more likely to actually have one. When you are getting massaged you have 30 minutes to 1 hour to empty your mind and relax. Massage relaxes your muscles and helps to get rid of any aches and pains you may have.
Spend Time with a Joker
Laughing increases your happy hormones so you will naturally feel happy and relaxed, it is also a good reason to spend time with a friend who makes you laugh. Alternatively you could watch your favourite funny film or sitcom. I always watch Friends when I need a good laugh!
Tackle It
If there is something specific that is causing you to feel stressed sometimes the best thing is to tackle it head on. This may not be the easiest but the longer you leave an issue the worse you will feel. Often we make things seem worse than they are by over-thinking them and when we actually do it it’s not that bad after all!
These are just a few tips which might help you to relax if you are feeling stressed or anxious. What do you to relax? Let me know in the comments below.
