2022 hasn’t got off to the best start for me as just a week before Christmas I slipped at home and fractured my ankle. This means the year has kicked off with me with a pot on my leg and spending my days resting in bed. Fortunately, it is winter now and a time of year where I didn’t have too many things planned in.
Once I am able to get out and about again there are plenty of things I am looking forward to this year and I am hopeful it will be another good year in business, health and life.
5 things I am looking forward to in 2022:
A Tropical Getaway
Last March, I had a holiday to Barbados booked but it was cancelled due to the pandemic so it was rebooked for this March. As it’s booked, I have everything thing crossed that it will go ahead, it’s one of my favourite places to visit. I should be near the end of my recovery by the time I arrive on the island so I think a few weeks resting in the sun will do my ankle good as well. I can’t wait to hop on a plane and create some new travel memories. I’d also love to do some more UK travels and maybe even another trip or two on a plane this year but I don’t have anything else booked as yet.

Getting my workouts in
For a couple of months before I broke my ankle, I had got a brilliant fitness routine happening and I was loving doing my workouts. It’s one of the things I have missed most so I can’t wait to get my ankle healed and back to my workouts so I can get fitter again.
Seeing more of Yorkshire
Alongside writing for my personal blog, I also have the role of blogging as Girl About West Yorkshire and I run the Instagram account here. I can’t wait to get out about exploring more of where I live and sharing these experiences. I feel so grateful to live in Yorkshire and there are so many amazing places to visit.
Business Growth
I have lots of plans for my businesses this year. At Dreamers who Travel, we will be adding more travel poster designs and working hard at our marketing and PR. The team has already grown and I am looking forward to more expansion this year. For my business Voltage Sport, we want to launch some new products and are currently planning what we feel will be the ideal products for our customers. My other business, The Content Edit, is currently for sale so I can’t wait to sell it as I’ve decided to focus on my other 2 businesses and my own content creation.
Write a Book
For years I have wanted to write a book and I am determined to make this the year I do it. I have everything I need to do it, apart from the topic! So my first plan is to brainstorm what I want to write about and then get stuck in. I think with the sale of The Content Edit and the growth of the team for my businesses I will be able to take the time to write once I know what to share.
I am looking forward to seeing what this year brings, what are you most excited about in 2022?
