Much like my monthly favourites my August recap is a little bit late to the party but I didn’t want to miss it, so as the saying goes, better late than never! August seemed to be a month of all or nothing, with some quiet moments, large steins and a birthday weekend!
A Quiet Start
After a very hectic end to July, August started off as a much quieter month which was ok with me. Things were a little bit unbalanced earlier on as a couple of the parts to my businesses really gained momentum. I did manage a house party to celebrate a friends birthday which was lots of fun!
Birthday Time
The middle of the month was all about mine and Keil’s birthday. It’s so much fun having them so close together as it’s one big celebration. I shared a little bit about the weekend here.
After such a hectic weekend I always need a bit of time to recover! So the next few days were back to business, sleeping and exercising.
The Bierkeller
My home city of Bradford is having a bit of a resurgence and I was invited to the opening night at the Bierkeller. It’s so nice to see the city centre beginning to thrive again, in fact I think in the future I will focus on some of the great things happening in Bradford, perfect for if you are local or planning a visit! The Bierkeller is based on the traditional German bierkeller, with large steins, the staff dressed in their lederhosen and traditional dresses and some German singing! It did remind me of a Bierkeller I went to in Munich with the long benches and big drinks so it had an authentic vibe!
It was really busy for the opening evening and if beer isn’t your thing they do cocktails served in a stein and glasses of wine. The band came on after a few steins were drunk and everybody was in the party spirit, dancing on the benches and singing along. You can book a table if there is a group and you want to stay the evening or you can call in for a stein. It was a really fun evening and I’m looking forward to going back!
Bank Holiday
The month ended with bank holiday weekend which consisted of a girls night out in Leeds, where we danced until the very early hours, followed by a lazy day and then a bike ride!
August is always one of my favourite months and it went by very fast! What did you do last month? Share below!
