Much like my March favourites, due to being ill I am posting my monthly recap a little bit late – Sometimes life happens and you have to accept things won’t always go to plan! Apart from sickness at the end of the month, March was good to me with some really good events which I was able to attend. Here’s some of what I got up to!
The Business Conference
Early in March I attended the Ladies Links Business conference which was being held to celebrate International Women’s Day. The conference was held at The Pavilions in Harrogate and I thought it was a great day. It was good to connect with other business owners who had stalls to share their products or services. I listened to some great inspirational speakers who shared their stories, it was an really enjoyable day! I also tried on a cool hat from By Betty 🙂
Meeting an Olympian
I attended an event at Colin Appleyard’s in Keighley where Olympic gold medalist Darren Campbell was speaking. I found him really motivational. He shared his story of how he came to compete in the Olympics and win a silver and a gold medal in different years. He also attached some of what he shared to business too so it was really interesting. He was a really nice guy as well and spent time talking and taking pictures with everyone on the night.

The Poker Night
I was invited to a bloggers charity poker evening in Leeds. I blogged about the night in full here. It was a great event, even though I didn’t do particularly well! It was nice to meet some fellow bloggers, refresh my memory on poker and just have some fun! Keil came along to represent Voltage Sport, so it was nice to go to a blogging event together.
Easter Weekend
Easter weekend was when my illness struck in the form of a cough. This meant I spent most of the weekend relaxing and working on getting myself feeling better. It was actually nice to spend a few days chilling out and not doing too much. It makes a nice change to have some downtime! I also enjoyed a few of these Easter Nests I made…
So March overall was a great month with some fantastic events and experiences!
What did you do in March? Share below, I’d love to know!
March was busy for me too. As a blogger and Internet marketer I was getting my websites in order. When you have 50+ websites you need to keep on top of them. I did leave the house however… Twice! Went and watched two films at the cinema knowing half term was coming I wanted to grab some badly needed me time. 3 kids and always a full house. ME time is rare.
