Todays guest blog comes from Keil Nelson. Being an entrepreneur and owning his own business he loves to travel. Here is his low down of one of his (and mine) favourite places Las Vegas!
Viva Las Vegas
Who loves to travel? Come on, I know you all do, for me travel is my favourite thing to do. I love seeing new places, experiencing new cultures and filling up my passport with stamps from lots of different countries. It’s a dream of mine to touch down on all 7 continents before I die, I’ve managed 4 so far so still got some air miles to clock up.
Today I’m going to talk about one of my favourite places to visit, Las Vegas. The marmite of travel destinations, you either love it or hate it and I love it.
Love Las Vegas
I think Las Vegas is as close to Peter Pans Neverland as you can get, no matter how old you are you can get lost in that child like wonder and excitement. It’s like a concrete metropolis of fun and energy.
The bright lights and vibrancy of the city that never sleeps can keep you entertained for what seems like forever. The glitz, the glamour, the razzmatazz of old broadway are all here in abundance, from the moment you open your eyes to the minute you lay your head to sleep you can literally be whisked off into a magical place straight out of your wildest dreams. You want it, Las Vegas has got it – bars, nightclubs, award winning shows, live entertainment, shopping to die for, Michelin starred restaurants, diners-drive ins and dives, strip clubs, hotels so lavish you think your a celebrity for the duration of your stay, erupting volcanoes, dancing fountains, state of the art casinos, more chlorine filled pools than you can dip your toes in. Hell, if your even missing the beach you can find an abundance of sand in the desert! The sun is scorching and the atmosphere is just as hot, make no mistake if it’s entertainment your after then Las Vegas is for you.
I personally think Vegas is a place like no other, a destination so unique everyone should try it at least once. I’ve been 4 times and am about to set off for my 5th trip and I’ve not even scratched the surface of what this incredible city has to offer. I will be back many times over the next few years to witness the ever changing landscape of this outstanding destination.
Favourite Things
Some of my personal favourite things to do include a trip to the famous sign, it’s a must if you visit Vegas and a great photo opportunity, you might even get lucky and get serenaded by Elvis Presley while your there. Cocktails at the Mix bar on floor 51 of Mandalay bay provides awesome views of the strip coupled with exquisite cocktails…Enough said! The strip flyover by helicopter is a great excursion that allows you to see the strip in all its glory from the air, I recommend the sunset tour so you can see the bright lights of Las Vegas. Catch a show if you can, Cirque du Soleis’s Love is fantastic and a must see if your a Beatles fan. These are just a few of the fantastic things you can do in Las Vegas, I could be here all day if I were to recommend everything!
I can safely say the city of sin has captured my heart, if you like BIG, BOLD and BRASH then your onto a winner.
All that’s left for me to say is VIVA LAS VEGAS!
